Tsakistra is located within a close distance from the Holy Monastery of Kykkos, something which has and still is affecting the life in the village, both at a spiritual and financial level.
Kykkos Holy Monastery is one of the most historic Monasteries of Cyprus, which, according to tradition, was established in 1100 A.D, while the Monastery’s point of reference is the Holy Icon of Panagia Eleousa.
